Network structure

  • Adopt RS485 general cable structure. On the same floor, adopt the round cable connection, Y connection among the floors.
  • The system cable connection is according to diagram of Network Cable Connection. Energy Saver& Network Lock

Basic functions:

  • Record-picking
  • Online Testing
  • Card Limit
  • Limit All Card
  • Time Setting
  • Emergency Open
  • The above functions can not only work via online network, but also work by issuing the cards independently.

Operation steps:

  • Connect all the online cables
  • Turn on all powers
  • Install the Software ( refer to the User Manual of Software ) first to make it work fine
  • Issue the cards by computers: Reset Card, Setting Card (Room number is unique.) and Time Card and initiate
  • program every lock.
  • After finishing the above four steps, use the Online Testing function (Room number must be correct.) to ensure that every lock is online successfully. After that, you can operate the basic functions according to your need.

Special Notes:

  • Record-picking includes two types:
    1. Instant records: After the lock is opened, the opening record will automatically be passed to the system. If the computers are not connecting online, the lock can save 200 offline records, once the computers are online, these records will automatically be passed to the system.
    2. History records: the lock saves the latest 200 opening records.
  • Setting Card ( Room number is unique ): the separate Room number cannot be the same, not including the Zone number and Floor number. E.g. Room No.0708 Floor No. 02 Zone No. 01, the Room No.0708 cannot appear in any floor.
  • When there is power cut in a hotel, the power supply of the lock will be switched to the batteries of the lock inside. There is no effect on every function of the lock.
  • Under the circumstance of short circuit or open circuit of the network, there is no effect on every function of the lock, the key card can open the lock normally.
  • Whenever you open the computers, the system will automatically adjust the time of online lock. Suggestion: please adjust the time of the online lock for some time, but you should guarantee that the computer time is correct.
  • If the red light and green light are flashing without inserting the opening cards, it also means that the system is working normally.

Network malfunction analysis:

　　If the Online Testing failure appears in a room after many times of operations, please check according to the following steps:

  1. Check whether the cable connection of RS-232/485 convertor is correct or not, the red light indicator of power is on or not, after that, please send the signal of Online Testing to see whether the green light is flashing or not, otherwise, maybe there is something wrong with the RS-232/485 convertor, please change a new convertor and try it again.
  2. When sending the signal of Online Testing to see whether the red light and green light of the rooms are flashing or not, if the red light is flashing, it means that the receiving works fine. If the green light is flashing, it means that the signal sending also works fine after normally signal receiving, it means the lock works fine.
  3. Please re-use the Setting Card of the room to set it again, if online still fails, please check the cable connection.
  4. If the neighboring room works fine, you can check the cable connection of this room. If many rooms fail to work, you have to check the general cable.
  5. If the time setting and signal receiving work fine, but the Online Testing fails, please use the Setting Card of this room to set it again
